5月20日次世代潜行者发售以来，外网多个论坛玩家反映未能正常获取ps5免费升级，既有在游戏界面看不到免费升级提示的或看到点进去不免费或报错，也有实体版标签页出现免费升级点进商城却不免费的。有电子版玩家提到可以通过进ps商城找到合集里的3款原作点三个点选ps5版本获取每一款潜行者的免费升级。实体版则有一名psnp玩家bratinov反映已咨询官方反馈是bug，有待修复，原文如下:
The Free upgrade does not seem to be available for the Physical Edition.
I opened my physical copy to check if it would work and it doesn’t, even with a Japanese account.
I can only play the ps4 version of the games.
Well, that’s disappointing.

edit 2: they said that they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix.
